For this September 27 update, you can find several changes. The addition of many OAC placers is part of the ranks, as is some prognosticating about weights, shifts, line-ups and more. Weights where several wrestlers from teams were listed, I've moved those girls to others spots. Several transfers have been added, including girls who moved in 25-26 but were on OHSAA bench. I also pulled some freestyle and IHPO results to determine who has shown out. Lastly, team bios for the top five have been added. Emails and DMs help me do better. If I'm missing a hammer, let me know. -OGWR

How it works

Our Ranking Criteria

Rankings are subjective by nature, but we strive to be as objective as possible. We rely heavily on actual match results over reputation. Disagree with a rank? Email ohiogirlsranks@gmail.com with the results.

Priority 1

Tournament Placements

Performance in highly competitive state-level and regional tournaments carries significant weight.

Priority 2

Head-to-Head

Direct matchups between ranked wrestlers are also a strong indicator of current standings.  Elements like state placement may trump head-to-head, especially with many girls changing weight classes in off-season.

Priority 3

Past State Finishes

Returning state medalists and qualifiers earn baseline respect in early-season polls.

Priority 4

Off-Season

Even though large off-season events such as Super 32, Fargo and National Duals are freestyle (and these are in-season folkstyle ranks), weight is given to girls who competed and had success.
